Population Forecasts

 

This web site contains the expected population change until 2016, including:

  • Number of people
  • Age structure
  • Type of household

These forecasts are based on the 2001 Census and cover the eight local neighbourhood areas: Carrum Downs/Skye, Frankston Central, Frankston Heights, Frankston North, Frankston South, Karingal, Langwarrin/Langwarrin South and Seaford. The forecasts also include the overall Frankston City figures.

Population Forecasts are available for each local neighbourhood. The forecasts includes information on: key results, age of neighbourhood, household structure, assumptions about residential development and migration, how many people are expected to live in this neighbourhood, how the population will change, what the age structure will comprise of, what the service age structure will be, what type of households will live there, and how the forecasts were created.
