Frankston Municipal Streetscape Strategy

 

The Frankston Municipal Streetscape Strategy was approved by Council in 1997. Due to changes to Council vision, policies and practices the Strategy now needs to be revised.

Development of the Frankston Municipal Streetscape Strategy is an initiative in the Council Plan 2009 - 2013.

A revised Municipal Streetscape Strategy will: 

• Set the vision for streetscape improvements across Frankston
• Provide guiding principles and technical notes for Commercial Streetscapes, Gateways and Main Roads
• Promote unified, sustainable and quality streetscapes

Full consultation with the community and stakeholders is an important part of the review. It is important that the Strategy reflects community and stakeholder desires. A consultation strategy will be developed for as part of the project brief.

A brief for the Strategy review is currently being prepared and will be referred to Council for comment prior to tenders being called for the project.
