Cr. Alistair Wardle was elected to Frankston City Council as Councillor for the newly created South-West Ward in November 2005 and was elected as Mayor in December 2007. In November 2008, Cr Wardle was re-elected for another four year term and elected as Deputy Mayor for 2009.
Alistair has always lived in Frankston and has always been involved in a number of areas within the community.
Alistair is a Registered Psychologist and has a part time practice - "Ingenious Solutions" that focuses on the areas of organisational development and assistance to youth. Alistair has formerly worked at Frankston Council's Youth Resource Centre and has also worked as a workplace trainer and employment consultant.
Alistair is keen to see the Council lead the way in introducing sustainable living solutions throughout the municipality and increasing community input into the decision making process. Other priorities are increasing public facilities, improving maintenance services and the appearance of Frankston City.
Alistair will also be working with Council so that it can be proactive in supporting the business community, attracting new industries to the area and creating local jobs.
Alistair's recreational interests include restoring classic cars, sailing, surfing, home renovations and gardening. Alistair is married to "Joy" and they have a dog "Zac".
