Cr Brad Hill

Brad was first elected to Council in 2008 for the North West Ward. He believes in hard work and getting things done.

Having left school at age 16, he has built a successful career in IT, being gainfully employed for the duration of his working life. Married with five children, he and his family love to call Frankston home.

Brad has had an extensive international career in business, having worked locally and around the world. Brad lived and worked with his family in Europe for two and half years and also spent one year based in Iran improving Internet infrastructure around the Middle East. He has also worked in a dozen or so other countries on several continents. As such he has enormous experience in helping build communities with over 25 years work experience in the private sector, with people of different backgrounds.

Now settled back down at home in Frankston, Brad's focus is now about making Frankston a better place, and ran for Council with that aim. Brad is also a great believer in openness, transparency and the democratic process, and continues to work to improve how Council operates in those areas. A family man, Brad is also keen to see Frankston a safer place, both in perception and reality. With that aim he is also a great believer in engaging youth via sport, and wants to see more kids getting active and occupied with physical activity.

In his spare time, Brad enjoys time spent with his family and loves to travel, and follows the Frankston Dolphins VFL football club.

He is a member of the following groups and committees:

  • MAV (Municipal Association of Victoria)
  • Frankston Arts Centre Board of Management
  • Frankston Cemetery Trust Committee
  • Frankston North Community Renewal Strategic Partnerships
  • Frankston Integrated Transport Improvements Committee
  • Major Projects Planning Committee
  • Planning & Submissions Committee

Having come from the private sector, Brad has a no-nonsense, get-on-with-it attitude. He feels local government needs to stay in touch with local residents, and so he is only too pleased to hear from residents and rate payers. Give him a call!
