Diversity embraces Aboriginal people, those born in Australia and overseas.
Frankston City has about 130 different nationalities living in the municipality. People come from all over the world, from English speaking countries like New Zealand, United Kingdom and the United States to Asian countries like China, Singapore and India, to African countries like Sudan, Zimbabwe and Somalia, to Middle Eastern countries like Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq, to European countries like Italy, Greece and Bosnia and South American countries like Chile, Uruguay and Argentina - the list goes on. In fact, one in every eight people in Frankston City can speak a language other than English!
Frankston is a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) City that offers exciting opportunities to live, work, learn and play through its ever increasing rich and diverse community. It also makes good business sense to draw on the breadth of expertise and experience people bring with them from all corners of the world which can help to make Frankston City a dynamic and vibrant community.
