What is a "Policy at Frankston City"? It is a formal position that must be adopted by Council, based on principles linked to the Council Plan that influence and determine decisions, actions and other matters.

Frankston City Council manages its Policies through a Policy Committee comprising of Dr Gillian Kay, General Manager Communities, Michael Craighead, Governance and Customer Relations Manager, Sam Jackson, Economic Development Co-ordinator, Chris Innes, Risk Management Co-ordinator and Allison Clark, EA to the CEO (Policy Manual Keeper). The Committee is currently working through the 'Policy Manual register' and looking at re-writing old policies. A GAP Analysis has also been conducted to identify other policies required to align with the current Council Plan.
Policies under review and currently being developed will need to undergo Community Consultation milestones and Council report approval before formally being adopted as Policies of Frankston City Council.
All policies will have a life of four years and will be reviewed during each four year term of Council.
