Frankston City Council has introduced an exciting new team to maintain the overall presentation of the City's 23 street shopping centres.
This team has Parkland Services and Physical Services staff working together to maintain neighbourhood street shopping centres.
The Team Leader, Marshall Lowe, is responsible for overseeing the project as well as building stronger relationships with traders and other stakeholders. The team also includes a qualified horticulturalist and two specialist maintenance officers.
Neighbourhood shops, looking good.
They will carry out over 40 visits each week across the various street shops around Frankston, maintaining the garden beds, cleaning the footpaths and carparks, cleaning, painting, staining and repairing the seats, signs and rubbish bins as well as a host of other maintenance initiatives.
With Council making significant investments upgrading the street shopping centres these maintenance standards will help protect that investment. The project is a trial running until the end of the financial year and it is hoped that during this time all traders and shoppers will notice a vast improvement.
If you, or your business has anything to report to Council about the appearance and operation of neighbourhood shopping centres, please contact Marshall Lowe, Team Leader Strip Shopping Centres, Mob: 0409 427 052
