Apprenticeships/Traineeships

Apprenticeships and traineeships are a fantastic way to enter the work force or retrain for a new position. Completing an apprenticeship or traineeship will give you:

• A nationally recognised qualification
• Provide on the job training and development
• Help with building a successful career, all while getting paid

Once your apprenticeship or traineeship has been completed you will be able to apply for Council positions or gain employment within another organisation.

Apprenticeships

An Apprenticeship usually go for 4 years and involves on the job training combined with training provided by TAFE colleges or other recognised training organisations. We offer Apprenticeships in Horticulture and Diesel Mechanics and these positions are advertised in Positions Vacant and in the Frankston Leader Newspaper.

Traineeship

A Traineeship usually goes for 12 to 18 months, and involves on the job training combined with training provided by TAFE colleges or other recognised training organisations. We offer traineeships in Certificate III Business Administration. For further information contact (03) 9784 1797.
