Disability Access and Inclusion Committee

The Disability Access and Inclusion Committee is a formally constituted Advisory Committee to Council.

The functions of the Committee are:

  • Provide information and recommendations to Frankston City Council with the purpose of meeting the needs of people with disabilities and to support Council in meeting its statutory obligations
  • Make recommendations to Council on disability access and inclusion, future projects, policy development and strategies
  • Advise on the development of statutory Disability Action Plans and monitor their implementation
  • Assist in shaping inclusive communities in the Frankston area
Committee group

Members of the Committee may work on issues of special interest such:

  • Infrastructure
  • Information
  • Transport
  • Service provision
  • Service gaps
  • Consultation and others

The Committee meets every six weeks.
