Welcome to the Frankston's Christmas Festival of Lights 2011, proudly presented by Showtime Attractions.
Now in its 14th year, the festival is a wonderful opportunity to bring the family together and celebrate the spirit of Christmas with your community.
The Festival will come alive again this year with host, Network Ten's Mike Larkan, for an evening of fun, festivities and family entertainment.
5:00pm - Santa's Grand Arrival
Join us on the main stage with some of our special friends to help us sing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" as
we welcome Santa and his guests, thanks to to Glenmac Services and Sales.
5:25pm - Sian Crowe
Performing for the first time at the Festival, Sian is a 14 year old who loves singing and performing. Sian's love of music has led her to write her own songs. Sian is a member of the Panarama Youth Theatre and has performed in School choirs and concerts.
5:45pm - Australian Welsh Male Choir
Beginning life in the Pines almost 40 years ago, the Australian Welsh Male
Choir has sung at the Sydney Opera House twice, Royal Albert Hall London on four occasions and in 2012 will be the only international choir to take part in the prestigious festival of 1,000 male voices in Manchester.
6:10pm - Sheralyn Hill
12 year old Sheralyn will perform for the third time at this year's festival.
Singing since the age of six, she has performed at many concerts and events and won several singing competitions.
6:30pm - Bac2Bac
Chris Annable and Bryn Bowen are the "Bac2Bac Duo" and they pride themselves on their ability to play any song, anywhere, anytime. Using their unique blend of performance experience, technical expertise and creativity they can perform songs by any popular artist.
7:00pm - The cast of the King and I
Local Theatre company PLOS Musical Productions will give you a sneak peak of their latest stages how the King and I, which is set to hit the Frankston Arts Centre during the Christmas holidays
7:25pm - Red Alert
Red Alert is proud to boast exceptionally talented musicians and singers with a diverse range of musical and performance experience. Members have worked on stage and screen, performed in covers and originals bands and have worked across a wide range of classical jazz and contemporary music.
8:00pm - The Christmas Show
It's that special time of year when Pixie and Flooky meet up with their special friends to celebrate Christmas.This fast moving show will have children dancing and singing along with their special Christmas characters as they come up with a plan to get Santa's memory back!
8:30pm - Melbourne Gospel Choir
Performing for the first time at the Festival, the choir is made up of television, theatre and singing
professionals, united in their common Christian faith, to create memorable vocal performances for Australian and international audiences.
The choir has backed many artists including Delta Goodrem, Westlife, Guy Sebastian, James Morrison, Reba McIntyre, David Campbell, and performed at major events around Australia in television appearances on Carols by Candlelight, the Logies and the AFL Grand Final.
Their new album recorded earlier in the year, in conjunction with
World Vision, will be available for purchase at the festival.
9:30pm - Fireworks and lighting of the Christmas tree
Proudly presented by Centro Karingal
Witness the spectacular lighting of the 100 year old Norfolk Pine with special appearance from Santa and his friends and the not-to be missed fireworks display choreographed to music.
