Boulevard to Link the City to the Shore

The Kananook Creek Boulevard is close to becoming a reality, with work scheduled to commence before the end of 2008. After receiving 13 Expressions of Interest, Frankston City Council has selected six possible tenderers for construction of the project. Each tenderer is now preparing their final submissions, with the tender period closing 11 September 2008.
New North West Ward Councillor to be Elected in November

Frankston City Council has decided not to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Councillor Vicki McClelland on 15 August after almost nine years of service, including one year as mayor of the City in 2005-2006. The Local Government Act provides that if a vacancy occurs less than six months prior to an election, it may not be filled unless the Council decides otherwise.
Councillor Calling For New Meals on Wheels Volunteers

Frankston City Councillor Glenn Aitken has given his time, and his pedal power, to deliver Meals on Wheels on a number of occasions. Now, to coincide with National Meals on Wheels Day on Wednesday, 27 August 2008, he is calling on residents to help out the service in a time of need.
New Protection for Significant Trees

Frankston City Council is moving to protect nature in the municipality, by exhibiting draft permanent controls aimed at protecting significant vegetation. Council has already established a Significant Tree Register as part of temporary planning controls implemented by the State Government.
Councillor Vicki McClelland Resigns

After almost nine years of service, Councillor Vicki McClelland has officially resigned from the position of North West Ward councillor. Mrs McClelland was first elected in 2000, and served as mayor of the City in 2005-2006.
Contemporary Art at Frankston Library

From 29 August, the Frankston Library will be home to contemporary arts with The Library Project, a new White Street Project created exclusively for Frankston by Jen Berean and Pat Foster in consultation with 40 of Australia's leading artists.

Mini My Dress

Fresh Start for Healthy Eating

Healthy tucker  is on the menu, with the Fresh Start Fruit and Vegetable Market in Frankston North  now  operating at Aldercourt Primary School every Friday from 2:30pm-4:30pm, and the Mahogany Neighbourhood Centre on Saturday mornings, from 9:00am-11:00am.
South West Ward Meeting
