Sand Sculpting Discount for Early Birds

Sand Sculpting Australia is getting an early start this summer with kick off set for Boxing Day, and early bird tickets already on sale. Frankston sculptor Peter Redmond is also getting a head start over his fellow sculptors, this week creating a sand Stegosaurus in the Civic Centre foyer.
Beyond Utopia

It has long been debated whether Frankston is part of Melbourne or the Mornington Peninsula. City or country? Suburb or regional centre? Melbourne artist Doug Heslop has spent time in Frankston studying this conflict of identity, which occurs on the outskirts of many cities worldwide, and has created a new contemporary art exhibition, Beyond Utopia.

The history of Frankston North has been captured in a unique way. Images in Fabric, a 4 metre x 1.5 metre patchwork quilt, represents the history of the many cultures in the Pines,  featuring printed stories, photos and other memorabilia from participants.
Boat Harbour Moves Forward

Frankston City Council has approved the preparation of public tender documents for the Frankston Safe Boat Harbour project at its Special Meeting last night (Monday, 20 October), and also set out a timeframe for the delivery of the project.

Frankston City Council has voted in favour of putting the draft Kananook Creek Management Plan out for public exhibition at last night's Special Meeting (Monday, 20 October).
Playne Street Designs Approved

Frankston City Council has officially adopted the Playne Street Concept Design at a Special Meeting held last night (Monday, 20 October). The Playne Street improvements are a part of a series of works to improve connectivity as part of the Frankston Transit City project.
Bypass One Step Closer

Frankston City Council is  "pleased" with the State Government's commitment to construct a $700 million Frankston Bypass, pending the results of    the Environmental Effects Statement.
Animal Management Plan Approved

Frankston City Council last week (6 October) approved a new Domestic Animal Management Plan, which will guide Council's animal management programs for the next three years. Progress in implementing the plan will be assessed annually and reported to those stakeholders who assisted in the plan's development.

It's official! Frankston is Australia's most sustainable city. Last night, our beautiful bayside city was named the overall winner of the Keep Australia Beautiful, Australian Sustainable Cities Awards, held in Sydney.
Making Parenting Easier
