Frankston City Council is fully supportive of construction of a Frankston Bypass that minimises environmental disruption in the municipality. Specifically, Council has stated its support of a deviation of the Bypass to alleviate disturbance to habitat in the more sensitive areas of the Pines Flora and Fauna reserve.

The Focus on Frankston photography competition enabled residents to show what they love about their home town, and now the City's finest photos have been selected. The winner of the Major Prize of the competition and $1500 is Kimberleigh Loughnan, whose photo of young Blake and Sienna on Frankston Pier caught the judges' attention.
