Frankston, CEO George Modrich has the following comments:

You may have read or heard in the media today (20 June) that the St Kilda Football Club is considering an alternate site at Belvedere Oval, Seaford. Our understanding is that preliminary costings for the Frankston Park development are exceeding St Kilda's budget and for due diligence reasons the club are comparing costs at a green field site such as Belvedere Reserve. St Kilda will come back to Council when they have reviewed these costings and considered the two options. I would like to stress no decision has been made by Council for the Saints to relocate from Frankston Park to Belvedere.

It is pleasing that Saints CEO Archie Fraser has come out publicly in full support of the Club's relocation to Frankston with comments such as - "the Club is 100% committed to Frankston", "we are going to be in Frankston, hopefully at Frankston Park, but if not in Frankston somewhere", and "we're not even considering moving out of Frankston".
