What is a planning permit? - A planning permit is a document, which is issued by Council that gives permission for a piece of land to be used and/or developed in a certain way.

What is the planning scheme and controls? - The Frankston Planning Scheme is a document, which sets out controls that apply to land in the municipality.

Do I need a planning permit? - To establish if you need a planning permit to use and/or develop your land, please contact the Town Planning Department

Pre-application meetings can be organised by contacting Town Planning and leaving your contact details and information regarding your proposal and site address. The next available Planner will contact you to organise a meeting time that is suitable for both parties. Please ensure that you have all relevant documents and  plans for this meeting.

Council is not able to give recommendation for private businesses, however many local businesses providing Town Planning related services are listed in the Community Directory.
