Draw up Plans

THREE copies of plans must be provided and should include the following detail:

  1. One coloured set of plans
  2. The boundaries and dimensions of the site as detailed on the title.
  3. Adjoining roads
  4. Relevant ground levels to Australian Height Datum (AHD)
  5. The layout of existing and proposed buildings and works including buildings, driveways and vehicle parking and loading areas
  6. Finished floor levels to Australian Height Datum (AHD)
  7. Proposed landscape areas
  8. External storage and waste treatment areas
  9. Elevation drawings including natural ground level and proposed ground level i.e. the location and extent of any proposed cut and fill, external finishes/materials, external wall heights and overall building heights measured from natural ground level
  10. A schedule of external materials colours and finishes
  11. An A3 reduction of all plans

Application

Required Documents

Title

A copy of the Title and Property Certificates are available from Landata's website. There is a fee of approximately $14.00 to obtain a copy of title, which is payable via an on-line credit card payment. Search for a Register Search Statement which will have a copy of title attached.

The Register Search Statement may list that a covenant, caveat or 173 Agreement forms part of the title. These documents will be provided as part of the Register Search Statement and all of these documents must be supplied to the Responsible Authority.

Submit a copy of the Register Search Statement and all attached documents with all planning permit applications. The date the Register Search Statement was obtained from Landata will be listed on the documentation. The search date must be no more than 3 months old at the time the planning application documentation is submitted to the Responsible Authority.

Letters and Photos

To amend the wording of an existing planning permit pursuant to Section 72 of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.

  • Application form
  • 3 sets of plans (if applicable)
  • A copy of title
  • A cover letter that documents and provides justification for the proposed changes to the planning permit

Please note that further documentation may be required depending on the nature of the requested amendments.

To amend plans that are endorsed to form part of a planning permit under the secondary consent process.

  • Application form
  • 3 sets of plans that illustrate the proposed changes.
  • A copy of title.
  • A cover letter that documents and provides justification for the proposed amendments.

Submit to Council

Applications can be submitted to the Responsible Authority either by:

  • Submit the application at Council offices:

    Frankston VIC 3199

The relevant application fees can be made payable via Cheque, Postal Order or Credit Card payments can be made over the telephone. Please call the Town Planning Department on (03) 9784 1733 for assistance with credit card telephone payments.
