Public Place Recycling
![]() |
The foreshore is one of Frankston's busiest places, with more than 100,000 people attending events there in the past year, 60,000 people going to the Frankston Visitor Information Centre, and countless more visiting for recreation. The new bins will greatly reduce the amount of recyclable goods going to landfill, and help keep the foreshore clean - which will give an excellent impression of Frankston for visitors and residents.
The recycling bins are currently for bottles and cans only, so please place all other kinds of rubbish in the waste bins to avoid contamination.
Do the right thing, use the right bin!
The bins are part of a pilot program which will help determine public recycling strategies across the municipality.
