Bin Placement
Bins are collected mechanically by a driver only vehicle so please help by placing your bins near the kerb, with the wheels closest to your house or property. Allow about 50cm between bins.To ensure your bin is emptied
- Place it on the nature strip the night before your collection day
- Provide a 1 metre clearance around the bin, where possible
- Do not overfill your bin, the lid should close
Your bin will NOT be emptied if
- It is too close to obstacles such as trees, poles, other bins or parked cars
- If it is overfilled, excessively heavy or has anything on top of or leaning against it
- If it is on uneven ground, the road or in a driveway
Damaged Bin
- Contact Frankston City Council on 1300 322 322
- Advise Council of the damaged bin
- Leave the bin where it can be accessed by Councils Waste Contractors for repair
Lost or Stolen Bin
- Contact Frankston City Council on 1300 322 322.
- Council procedures require that a "Statutory Declaration" signed by either a Justice of the Peace, a Police Officer, or at a council office be received before replacing missing bins.
- Replacement bin/s will be delivered upon Council receiving your declaration at no additional costs to either resident or ratepayer.
Missed Scheduled Collection
- Contact Frankston City Council on 1300 322 322
- Advise Council of missed collection
- Leave the bin where it may be accessed by Councils Waste Contractors
Moving House
Bins are council property, and should not be taken with you if you move.Obtain a Bin
- Contact Frankston City Council on 1300 322 322 or in person at the following Council Customer Relations Service Centres. Pro-rata fees apply for new and additional bin services - Payment may be made by cash, cheque or credit card.
- Delivery of service bin/s will be arranged following receipt of payment.
Note: Fees differ for Residential and Commercial properties.
