Copies of Building Plans and/or documentation are available, in most cases, from approximately the late 1970's for properties within the suburbs of Frankston, Frankston North, Frankston South, Karingal and Seaford, and from approximately 1990 for properties within the suburbs of Langwarrin, Langwarrin South, Skye and Carrum Downs (which used to be under the Shire of Cranbourne).

For properties which used to be under the Shire of Cranbourne, plans and/or documents approved prior to 1990 may be available from Casey Council, however an application is required to be made initially through Frankston City Council's Building Department.

Copies of plans/documentation can only be provided to the current owner of a property. If you are not the current owner written authorisation from the owner is required.

Applicable fees are as follows:

• Residential - $88.00 (inclusive of GST)
• Commercial - $110.00 (inclusive of GST) plus $7.00 per plan (up to A1) and $11.50 per plan (up to A0). Includes copies of all relevant permit plans and documentation.
• Copy of Permit Documentation ONLY (no plans) - $33.00 (inclusive of GST).
  Includes copies of Building Permit, Occupancy Permit or Final Inspection (whichever is applicable) and Certificate of Insurance Warranty (if available).
