Frankston City Council provides a number of child care alternatives in order to meet the diverse child care needs of families .
Three Long Day Care Centres
These Centres provide a high quality of care and offer educational programs, which are implemented by qualified, highly skilled and dedicated child care staff. Staff, in close liaison with parents, endeavour to meet the individual needs of children attending the centres.

Family Day Care
Family Day Care is quality Federal Government funded child care where a maximum of four pre-school children are cared for in the homes of approved, experienced caregivers. Caregivers are regularly visited, trained and supported by Council staff. Family Day Care offers flexible care which may be provided 24 hours a day, 52 weeks of the year and can be structured to suit the needs of many workers.
Care is available for children from birth to 12 years.

Childcare Benefit
Childcare Benefit is paid by the Commonwealth Department of Family and Children's Services, on behalf of families, direct to the service to reduce the fees payable.
To apply for Childcare Benefit, families will need to complete an application form from the Family Assistance Office. Based on the income and details of the assets provided, the Family Assistance Office will determine the level of entitlement for Childcare Benefits. This entitlement is expressed as a percentage and calculated by the service. For further information contact the Family Assistance Office on 13 61 50.
