Water Resource Management

Permanent Water Saving Rules

Frankston City Council's aim is to manage our freshwater resources in a sustainable manner, and encourage greater understanding of the need for more responsible water resource management in Frankston City.

A set of new water saving rules came into effect on 1 November, 2006 for the Melbourne and metropolitan region. Please contact your local water authority for information on these new rules and exemptions. In Frankston City, this is South East Water. Contact them on 131 867, or find out more about Stage 3 Water Restrictions.

For advice on sustaining your garden through dry times go to the South East Water Web site.

For more information contact the Council's Environment Department on 1300 322 322, or e-mail environment@frankston.vic.gov.au.
