Litter/Dumped Rubbish

Under the Environment Protection Act 1970 any member of the public who sees someone littering may report it in writing to Council.

A notice may be issued to a Property Owner to clear rubbish or litter from their property, and failure to follow the notice will result in a penalty of $800.

A notice may also be issued to Builders/Property Owners of sites where building works are taking place. Identifiable litter found on these properties (and surrounding areas) must be removed. Failure to follow the notice will result in a penalty of $800.
