New P-Turn Moorooduc Highway and Cranbourne Road, Frankston

VicRoads is making changes to the intersection of Moorooduc Highway and Cranbourne Road, Frankston to reduce congestion at this busy intersection.

This location is known for its long delays, as up to 50,000 vehicles each day use it to get on and off the Frankston Freeway.

The future construction of Peninsula Link is likely to address the issues at this intersection; however a short-term, cost effective solution has been developed.

From the night of Friday 21 August, you will not be able to turn right from Moorooduc Highway towards Langwarrin and Cranbourne. (see map below)

Drivers coming from the south wanting to head along Cranbourne Road towards Langwarrin will instead turn left at the intersection (towards Frankston), and proceed to new traffic signals near Clarendon Street where a U-turn bay will be provided on the left hand side of the road.
