The Frankston Community Fund is about raising money for organisations that support the health and welfare of the community, and the fundraising will be done in style this August.

Frankston City passes on its congratulations to Newcastle, the city chosen by the Federal Government to trial the installation of the first commercial-scale smart grid as part of the $100 million National Energy Efficiency Initiative - Smart Grid, Smart City.
An advisory committee will examine the possibility of moving the Frankston War Memorial from its current location to a new site, after Frankston City Council approved the committee's formation at its Ordinary Meeting on 7 June.
A new shared bicycle and pedestrian pathway will be constructed along Kananook Creek Reserve between Allawah Avenue and Mile Bridge, Frankston, after Council successfully lobbied for a $100,000 Parks Victoria Metropolitan Trail Grant to match Council's funding of $100,000.
Children born between May 1 2006 and April 30 2007 are due to start kindergarten in January 2011. Registrations must be received before 5:00pm, 9 July.
Nominations for the Emerging Athletes program close soon. The 12  winners' of the program all receive $1000 and a gym membership.
Frankston City Council accepted the recommendation that no locations in the municipality are suitable to be designated Neighbourhood Safer Places (NSP). The recommendation came within Council's Municipal Neighbourhood Safer Places Plan
