Arbor Survey Pty Ltd is an Arboricultural Consulting company specialising in tree risk and management of trees on development sites.

We have been involved within the Arboricultural Industry for over 25 years working for both private sector clients and within the public sector at numerous Victorian Local Government Authorities. All our staff are AQF Level 8 and AQF Level 5 qualified in Arboriculture, Training and Assessment (AQF 4) and are TRAQ and QTRA Tree Risk Assessors.

Within Local Government, we have worked at various Councils as a Statutory Planning Arborist where we have been responsible for providing Arboricultural referral advice, predominantly based development impact and risk, for Statutory Planning in relation to planning applications and Strategic Planning advice relating to planning scheme amendments and other vegetation related planning issues. We have also been responsible for peer reviews of arboricultural reports and landscape plans and over the time in local government have developed Arboricultural Report writing guidelines that are now used widely throughout Victoria. 

Private consulting works have been varied but primarily include tree risk, health and structural condition assessments, tree valuations, development impact assessments and tree management plans (based upon the Australian Standard AS4970:2009 – Protection of Trees on development sites). We also providedVictorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) Expert Evidence statements and have represented numerous private and public sector clients at VCAT and at Magistrates Court.

We hold internationally recognised tree risk assessment qualifications from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA TRAQ) and are qualified in the world recognised risk management assessment methodology known as Quantified Tree Risk Analysis (QTRA). These skills have enabled us to be the preferred contractors for a number of Local Government and private clients for risk assessment.

Arbor Survey Pty Ltd is committed to professional best practice within the industry and often provides a mentoring and training role to other Arborists and Tree workers within the Industry including presentations to the Victorian Tree Industry Association (VTIO) workshops and seminars. We currently teach the Diploma of Arboriculture to a wide range of students. We are fully insured with 20 million cover in public liability and 10 million professional indemnity cover.
