Economic Development and Skilled Community Strategy

Council plays a key role in attracting and supporting local business operators and in encouraging skills, employment and the overall economic prosperity of Frankston City.

This Strategy and supporting Action Plan uses current economic and demographic data and information to build on existing strengths and advantages which are aligned with the Frankston City Community Vision 2024 and 2021-25 Council Plan Priorities.

Key priorities identified

The draft strategy has identified three key priorities;  

Priority 1: Supporting local Businesses

Priority 2: Investment attraction, and activation of public places

Priority 3: Council as a partner (advocate)
