For information during a bushfire: 

  • The VicEmergency website can be accessed by visiting emergency.vic.gov.au
  • watch the television for news updates and listen to ABC 774AM 
  • call the Vic Emergency Hotline 1800 226 226
  • visit the CFA website and follow the instructions provided.

Prepare your home and property for the bushfire season. Make sure you have a plan of action in place before there are fires in your area.

You also need to be aware of what to do if you are on holidays in a bushfire region. If you live in or are visiting a bushfire prone area, contact the CFA for specific information on how to prepare for and survive a bushfire.
