Foreshore Advisory Committee

The Foreshore Advisory Committee (FAC) is a volunteer committee that advises Council on strategic planning decisions guiding the management of Frankston and Seaford foreshore reserves. Its members are actively involved in management of a highly significant area of coastal reserve and implementation of Frankston’s Coastal and Marine Management Plan.

What is the Committee's purpose? 

Frankston foreshore is renowned as the most pristine and accessible stretch of foreshore on Port Phillip. The purpose of the Committee is to involve diverse representatives of our community in the implementation of the Coastal and Marine Management Plan and the development of other coastal projects. The Committee is an opportunity for these representatives to communicate their aspirations and concerns for the foreshore. 

Members of the Committee do not have decision-making powers but have the opportunity through the Committee process to present their views and opinions for consideration.
