Schools Tree Day
Council proudly supports local schools and preschools with indigenous plant donations for their grounds on National Schools Tree Day each July.
Planet Ark has run this nationwide program for over a decade. Council has donated tens of thousands of trees, shrubs and grasses for planting in schools around our municipality. Over recent years, nearly 4000 trees, shrubs and grasses have been planted in Frankston City on Schools Tree Day, helping to beautify our local environment, provide habitat for wildlife and combat climate change.
