Family Day Care
Family Day Care is an Australian Government approved child care program that is provided in the homes of registered family day care educators. Educators are registered with a family day care service that provides support, training and monitoring of program quality. There are a range of Family Day Care service providers operating in Frankston City. For enrolment information contact the My Child website for a list of service providers. Please note that Frankston City Council is no longer a provider of the Family Day Care program.
Long Day Care
Frankston City Council directly manages the Mahogany Rise Child and Family Centre in Frankston North. This service provides centre-based education and care programs for children from birth until they commence primary school.
Other centre-based education and care programs (long day care) are operated by a range of providers across Frankston City.
Before and After School Care and Vacation Care Programs
Before and After School Care and Vacation Care programs are operated by a range of providers across Frankston City and are usually situated on primary school sites. For enrolment information contact your local primary school, community centre or My Child website for a list of providers.
Occasional Care
Occasional Care offers professional care for children on a casual basis. These services may be provided at Community Centres/Neighbourhood Houses. These services are suitable for families who do not need child care on a regular basis but would like someone to look after their children occasionally, for example when they have a medical or other appointment.
