From January 2026, Community Kinders Plus will cease operating the kindergarten services from Karingal East.
While kindergarten services will no longer be delivered at Karingal East Kindergarten, families will still be able to register for three and four-year-old kindergarten in the local area. Capacity already exists to add extra groups and enrolments at the other two local kindergartens. In addition, a new State Government operated long day care and kindergarten is being delivered in the local area and is expected to be open early 2026.
For many years Community Kinders Plus have worked in collaboration with Frankston Special Development School (SDS) to provide a valuable early educational experience to children with a disability. Frankston City Council will continue to support the Department of Education and Frankston SDS whilst options are considered for the continuation of the Early Education Program (EEP).

Community Kinders Plus
Community Kinders Plus is a cluster management organisation that is accountable for the delivery of the service at 14 kindergartens across the City of Frankston.
Our role as the Approved Provider is to implement legislation, key decision making, employment and management of all staff, professional development, strategic planning, financial management, facility management, enrolments and the kindergarten curriculum in consultation with our educators.
Community Kinders Plus believes that this management and support provides our educators with the opportunity to develop strong community links and a quality program that recognises the individual needs of the children that access our service.
