The focus of the Centre is based on the view that the most important feature of our teaching program is the child.

Community Kinders Plus

Community Kinders Plus is a cluster management organisation that is accountable for the delivery of the service at 14 kindergartens across the City of Frankston.

Our role as the Approved Provider is to implement legislation, key decision making, employment and management of all staff, professional development, strategic planning, financial management, facility management, enrolments and the kindergarten curriculum in consultation with our educators.

Community Kinders Plus believes that this management and support provides our educators with the opportunity to develop strong community links and a quality program that recognises the individual needs of the children that access our service.

Langwarrin Preschool is the longest operating kindergarten in Langwarrin and we are excited to be able to offer our wonderful program along with our current team of teachers and educators in this new purpose-built facility.

We will be able to cater for many families looking for 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten offering an educational program and timetable that suits every child’s individual learning and development needs through our play based curriculum. Educators at Langwarrin Preschool focus on creating a safe, stimulating, happy and healthy environment for all children.

At Langwarrin Preschool we believe that play is vital for children’s development. Play provides children with opportunities to cultivate many skills such as thinking and reasoning skills, foundation literacy and numeracy skills, negotiating and sharing skills, social and emotional  competence, independence, resilience and fine and gross motor skills.  We also believe that when children have a sense of safety and security and are valued as an individual, they feel supported and able to extend on their current knowledge and skills. This in turn fosters a positive view of their own identity and independence and increases self-confidence.
