What is a Pop up Playgroup?

Pop up Playgroups are free for everyone to attend.

Our sessions are facilitated by our experienced early childhood team and are aimed at children 0 – 6 years.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for you and your children to make new friends, explore your local parks, and discover a world of learning and fun that Playgroups have to offer. A variety of activities will be on offer to suit varying needs of children such as:

  • Music
  • Craft
  • Physical play
  • Imaginary play
  • Story time

You will also have the opportunity to speak to the team about Community Playgroups, Supported Playgroups and Kindergartens in your local area.

Sessions will be run in all weather, so please dress appropriately to the conditions. Please note that in extreme weather, Pop Up Playgroups will be cancelled.

Bookings are not required. Please remember your hats, water, and snacks.

Parents, caregivers and grandparents are welcome to join us for a Pop up Playgroup session, explore a range of fun activities with your child. You will also have the chance to speak to the team about finding a local playgroup, Supported Playgroup Program and Kindergarten Registration

Pop up Playgroup is a free outdoor event please remember your hats, water bottles and snacks. Playgroup will be cancelled if inclement weather Please check the website (Pop up Playgroup). No Booking Required.

End of year celebration

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon to celebrate the end of the year!

If you’re part of a playgroup in the Frankston Municipality, we’d love for you to join the festivities as we celebrate the wonderful year of playgroups in 2025 and all the fun we have had together.

There will be lots for the children to participate in, plus all your favourite playgroup activities.

Come and enjoy a delicious sausage sizzle, with friends.

Term 4 is going to be a little bit different as we will be having a mix of intergenerational and normal baby playgroup, The Village Baxter and connecting with residents at the retirement village and Baden Powell Playgroup Room
