Project Overview  

Informed by the Frankston Gymnastics & Basketball Feasibility Study, the redevelopment was adopted as an advocacy priority at the November 15 2021 Council Meeting following extensive community consultation.

Our Advocacy campaign throughout 2022 was successful at the state and federal elections in securing $15M funding commitments from both levels of government. 

At the Council meeting on 11 September 2023, Councillors endorsed revised plans to construct the new stadium at the existing Bardia Avenue site that will house 10 basketball courts and the first dedicated community gymnastics facility in Frankston City.

With this decision the project, which will provide state-of-the-art facilities for two of Frankston City’s fastest growing sports, can now move to the detailed design and construction phase.
