Other Advocacy

The opportunity
In addition to the core priority projects which Council is advocating for ahead of the 2025 federal election, Council continues to advocate to other levels of government throughout the year on a diverse range of other important local initiatives. Council works closely with key stakeholders to drive a community-led advocacy campaign on these and many other initiatives.
What will be delivered
This includes, but is not limited, to the following:
- Len Phelps Pavilion Refurbishment (Carrum Downs)
- Sports lighting for Karingal Bulls Football Netball Club at Ballam Park and Frankston Raiders Rugby Club at Peninsula Reserve
- Victoria Police and Protective Services Officers proactive patrolling of Young Street and Frankston Station
- Protective Services Officers proactive patrolling of the newly constructure Kananook Car Park
- Langwarrin (Lloyd Park) District Level Play Space
- Baxter Park Master Plan implementation
- Frankston Park Football Changeroom Upgrades
- Construction of a new netball court for Frankston Dolphins Football Netball Club
- Replacement of bowling green turf, new sports lighting and construction of a canopy roof for Frankston Bowling Club
- Shared user paths along Warrandyte Road Langwarrin and Cranbourne-Frankston Road Langwarrin
What we need
Council will continue to advocate for additional projects and initiatives throughout the Federal and State election periods and beyond.
