In a move aimed at improving accountability and transparency, Frankston City Council has made its quarterly CEO’s report publically available online.

Frankston City Council Mayor, Sandra Mayer, said this was a first for Council, which planned to make a version of the report available to the community from now on.

“We’re always looking for ways to improve our governance and Council felt residents might value reading this report.

“Making this information available publically is one of the ways we’re improving transparency and building the community’s trust in Council,” Cr Mayer said.

The report features information about challenges, policy and governance improvements, celebrations and other key updates from the quarter to 31 March 2020.

Council CEO, Phil Cantillon, said he was pleased to present the report to the community.

“This will provide our residents some further understanding of the inner workings of Council and we hope that it is well received,” Mr Cantillon said.

At its Ordinary Meeting on 28 January 2020, Council resolved that a version of the CEO’s quarterly report presented to Council, be presented in a version that could be released to the public on a quarterly basis.

Confidential items have been removed from the public version of the report.
