Cheers!
The Carrum Downs-based Dainton Brewery is celebrating after scoring a $5000 State Government Outdoor Eating and Entertainment Package grant.
Deputy Mayor Nathan Conroy said the Council was delighted Dainton Brewery had received support from the State Government.
“We are thrilled to see hospitality venues such as Dainton Brewery taking advantage of the State Government’s funding support to adapt their outdoor dining offer and helping them to get back to doing what they do best – making award winning craft beers and serving up delicious food,” Cr Conroy said.
“We are so lucky to have innovative operators such as Dainton Brewery here in our backyard. We encourage residents and visitors to support our all local hospitality businesses and enjoy the outdoor dining experience.”
Dainton Brewery General Manager Will Smith said the State Government grant would be used for tables, umbrellas and a stage for live music to enhance the experience of outdoor dining.
Mr Smith said Frankston City Council officers had provided significant assistance and support during the grant application.
“It’s been great to have people back and sharing the brewery with the public. It’s great for our team to be able to connect with the community,” he added.
Dainton is expanding its outdoor dining on private land, rather than kerbside dining.
The hospitality sector is vital to the Frankston City economy with 655 hospitality businesses employing approximately 2862 people and an annual turnover of more than $345 million.
