Make Frankston City sparkle this Clean Up Australia Day

Registrations are open for Clean Up Australia Day to be held on Sunday 1 March 2020.

Each year, Frankston City communities come together on the first Sunday in March to clean up litter hotspots in their local neighbourhoods.

Frankston City Council Mayor, Sandra Mayer, said Clean Up Australia Day efforts reduced the potential for rubbish to cause harm to the local environment and wildlife.

“I’m really proud of our residents for working together each year on Clean Up Australia Day and removing the litter which gathers in our local parks, bushland, beaches and waterways,” Cr Mayer said.

“It’s a wonderful initiative, not only because of the obvious environmental benefits, but also because it brings the community together for a good cause.”

Each year, community, business and school Clean Up Australia Day events are held across Frankston City. Those interested in getting involved can register a new clean up site online or join an existing one.

“Why not challenge your friends, family members and colleagues to join your clean up efforts this year? The more people who get involved, the bigger the impact we can make.”

  Meet at barbecue area rear of Jubilee Park playground
