Statement from the Mayor: PARC staff

Frankston City Council is acutely aware of the far-reaching impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the effect it continues to have on jobs locally.
Council is disappointed that the Federal Government JobKeeper payment is unavailable to local government employees, and employees of subsidiary organisations such as Peninsula Leisure – and is advocating as a part of the wider local government effort to ensure appropriate relief packages are in place for impacted workers.
Council is also actively working with Peninsula Leisure Management to explore other feasible options moving forward, including identifying which staff are eligible to apply for the JobSeeker allowance.
Council will provide an update to the community on this matter as soon as practicable.
