The Mayor’s Family Picnic is coming to your house

All of the excitement of The Mayor’s Family Picnic has been packed into an hour long, free, Facebook event at midday on Sunday 20 September.

Frankston City Mayor, Sandra Mayer, said Council was hoping to capture the City’s incredible community spirit during this year’s virtual picnic.

“It has been a challenging year and this event is a terrific opportunity to say thank you to our community and frontline workers, hear from some of our local businesses and groups and relax with great music.

“From the comfort of your lounge room or backyard, you will be treated to performances by Bo’Ness, Shana, CC Dewar, Grey Horizon and Harrison Craig!”

The Mayor said four local food businesses had jumped on board to create ‘ultimate picnic baskets’ for the community to enjoy during the event.

“If you haven’t had a chance to grab one of these scrumptious hampers, hop online and check out Nature Café Bar, Box with a Bow, Stacks Pancake Bar, Two Boys, One Beagle and A Coffee Shop,” the Mayor said.

“This is a great way to support local businesses and enjoy some tasty picnic food without having to prepare it yourself. You can just settle in for an hour of entertainment.”

The Mayor thanked event sponsors, Eastlink and 9News, for their support.
