Working for Victoria job seekers to join Council’s workforce

Published on 01 October 2020

Frankston City Council’s partnership with Working for Victoria will see 37 unemployed Victorians return to work, in Council roles.

The $500 million State Government Working for Victoria initiative was launched earlier this year to help those who lost their jobs due to COVID-19 find paid work which supports the community.

Frankston City Council CEO, Phil Cantillon, said recruitment had commenced for a variety of positions, with remaining roles to be advertised during the coming month.

“As part of the program, we have been successful in our submission to appoint 37 employees for six months,” Mr Cantillon said.

“This is a terrific outcome for jobseekers, the wider community and for Council. I’m sure the new recruits will have a lot to offer the organisation and will help us continue supporting the community as it recovers from COVID-19.”

A list of the Frankston City Council Working for Victoria Roles is below (including roles available, under recruitment and filled). More information for job seekers is available on the Working for Victoria website where you can learn how to register, create a profile, complete a skills questionnaire, browse jobs and apply for roles using the Sidekicker app.
