Do you have an amazing business idea and need a short term space to bring it to life?
South Ward Cr Brad Hill called on creatives, makers and entrepreneurs to check out the Invest Frankston Pop-Up Program, adding it also enables those participating to test the market and showcase their creativity.
Cr Hill said: “The Pop-Up Program is an urban renewal project designed to activate vacant properties in Frankston’s city centre by offering short term tenures to help bring your business ideas to life
“The program will initially launch in Clyde Street Mall as a pilot program, where short term tenancies are available for temporary lease,” Cr Hill said.
Application are open now and close 5pm Friday 30 July.
North East Cr David Asker said: “Showcasing an increasingly collaborative, creative and connected business community, Frankston City is fast becoming the first choice for relocating and starting a business, and Council is committed to supporting new businesses to start-up, grow and thrive.
“The Pop-Up Program aims to assist your business idea or current small business to grow and become a success in Frankston City while activating an underutilised vacant property in the city centre,” Cr Asker said.
Cr Asker said Frankston is currently experiencing an unprecedented level of investment that will transform the city centre, adding: “The Invest Frankston Pop Up – Clyde Street Mall Program will focus on a more vibrant strip shopping experience in a newly developed streetscape that links Bayside shopping Centre, the Frankston Station and our main streets in central Frankston.”
The Invest Frankston campaign is attracting business and investment to the municipality.
Cr Asker said that the campaign is reaping rewards, with Council currently facilitating over 100 business and investment enquiries through both the Business Concierge and Investment Attraction specialist services.
“We offer a tailored service to support investment from first attraction or enquiry through to establishment.
“Council has developed a suite of resources to attract investment into the municipality since the endorsement of the refreshed Investment Attraction Program 2019 - 2024, including recurrent funding,” Cr Asker said.
