Ombudsman report - update on historical parking infringements review process – March 2021

MEDIA STATEMENT

The Victorian Ombudsman recently found that the use of private contractors to review parking fines in Victoria is unlawful. Council used a private contractor to assist with parking fine internal reviews from November 2008 to April 2014. If you received a parking infringement and applied for internal review of the infringement during this period, please contact Council to check your eligibility for a refund. Applications will be considered on a case by case basis.
