Pines Forest season extended for school holidays

The Frankston community will be able to access and enjoy the Pines Forest Aquatic Centre for an additional two weeks this season!
Following a successful season, Peninsula Leisure, which manages the facility, has worked hard to provide the extension that will allow the community usage over the Easter school holidays.
Peninsula Leisure CEO Katherine Thom said: “Pines Forest is extremely popular and we’ve seen visitation increase throughout the season – initially with lap swimming through to recreational activities as restrictions eased.
“We’ve had fantastic feedback from community members who experienced Pines for the first time and are now loyal visitors who can’t wait to come back again. It’s due to all the positive feedback that we proposed the extension and are thrilled to be able to open longer this season,” Ms Thom said.
This is another success story for the swimming facility, which saw an earlier opening in September 2020 to align with the Victorian Government roadmap to recovery plan post COVID, providing early access to aquatic exercise following the closure of all facilities during the pandemic.
Ms Thom added: “We know our regular lap swimmers will jump at the opportunity to continue using the facility during April and its great we can offer more recreational opportunities for families during the school holidays.”
Pines Forest Aquatic Centre will remain open until Sunday 18 April with the following opening hours: Monday to Friday 6am - 6.30pm; Saturdays and Sundays 8am – 12 noon; public holidays 8am – 12 noon; and Good Friday (2 April) the facility is closed.
