Branch out with Frankston Arts Centre’s KidsFest Competition!
Published on 22 June 2022
Do you have an ordinary, amazing or wacky house or treehouse you love and dream of that you’d like to put to paper?
Frankston Arts Centre’s KidsFest Competition encourages youngsters to bring their own touch of colour, creativity and magic.
The competition provides a wonderful opportunity for four to 12-year-olds to ‘branch out’ with this year’s Art Haus or ‘house’ theme and express their artistic talent and originality.
Experience being part of a professional art show and competition and enter artwork on A3 paper in the frame supplied. Have it hung on the wall for all to see in Frankston Arts Centre’s Cube Gallery and celebrate with an exhibition opening event.
Leanne, 5, won first prize in the 4 to 6-year-old category in 2021 for her artwork titled ‘A Jar of Cupcakes’ and is excitedly looking forward to entering again this year.
“My favourite thing about entering the KidsFest Art Competition last year was seeing other people's beautiful art. I felt so excited when I was announced as a prize winner.
“I hope other people saw my artwork on the wall and enjoyed it. Of course, I’m going to enter again this year!” Leanne said.
There’s great prizes on offer including first prize ($150), Highly Commended ($50 for each age category 4 - 6, 7 - 9, 10 - 12 years) and the People’s Prize (family pass to see a Frankston Arts Centre season family show).
Entries are now open until Saturday 27 August, 2pm. For more information about the KidsFest Competition including key dates, entry cost and conditions of entry, please visit https://artscentre.frankston.vic.gov.au/Whats-On/Art-Exhibitions/FAC-KidsFest-Art-Competition
