Invest Frankston’s Façade Improvement and Vacant Shopfront Grants are now open.
Frankston City Council, in partnership with the Victorian State Government, is offering matched-fund grants to assist in exterior façade renovations of buildings located within the Frankston city centre, and grant funding to attract new businesses to vacant shopfronts.
Frankston City Mayor, Nathan Conroy said:
“We’re investing these funds to create a positive, attractive and welcoming on-street experience for anyone visiting our shopping precincts. Frankston is well and truly open for business and we want to encourage more people to spend time in our city centre and at shopping strips.
“Making our city a pleasant place to be encourages footfall traffic and enhances the marketability of the area to support and inspire further business investment.
“There are two pools of grant funding available; one for façade improvements, the other is designed to attract new businesses to take over vacant shopfronts,” explained the Mayor.
“It’s an exciting time to come to Frankston and with an increasingly collaborative, creative and connected business community, we’re fast becoming the first choice for relocating and starting a business.
MP for Frankston, Paul Edbrooke said:
“The Victorian State Government is pleased to support Frankston City Council to attract and encourage new business investment. There’s a lot big projects happening in Frankston over the coming months including the Chisholm TAFE redevelopment, and the Frankston Hospital redevelopment. We’re bringing the buzz back.
“With State Government and Council support, new and existing businesses can feel confident that Frankston is where they will be nurtured and supported to get off the ground and running.”
