Peninsula Leisure scooped the trophy pool at the annual Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV) Awards – scoring four big awards.

Frankston City’s much loved aquatic centres, Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (Facility Management of the Year – Large) and Pines Forest Aquatic Centre (Best Outdoor Pool Facility Management of the Year – Seasonal), were both honoured.

Two long standing Peninsula Leisure employees were also recognised with Nicole Ross rewarded for her exceptional customer experiences as the Customer Service Officer of the Year and Mary Albert taking home Group Exercise Instructor of the Year.

The ARV Industry Gala Awards reward outstanding achievement and commitment to the Aquatics and Recreation sector, and recognise the best of the best in facility management.

Peninsula Leisure CEO Kath Thom said the spread of awards demonstrates the exceptional work of the Peninsula Leisure Team, and further highlights the organisation’s commitment to delivering the industry’s best services, programs, support and facility management.

Ms Thom said: “To win both the PARC and Pines facility management awards is just remarkable. We work so hard to create a place where the community can be happy, active and connected and I am just so proud of the entire Peninsula Leisure team – it’s fantastic.

“Our People are the core of everything we do. PARC and Pines are fantastic facilities, but it’s what we do inside those facilities – the people, the programs, the possibilities – is what makes us great, and I believe is the reason we won these awards.”

Ms Thom also praised the individual Peninsula Leisure employees who were recognised.

“We are so proud of Mary and Nicole. To deliver such a quality service, consistently, throughout such a tumultuous and inconsistent year, is beyond admirable. Both Mary and Nicole have such a strong following and support base within our PARC membership, and we are so excited to see them recognised at this level.”

Ms Ross said: “I feel so proud every morning when I put on my PARC uniform. It is a truly incredible place and I love supporting our community in their health journey.”

Frankston City Council Mayor Nathan Conroy congratulated Peninsula Leisure, adding: “Frankston City is home to the state’s best aquatics and recreation facilities. PARC and Pines are much loved facilities and the team at Peninsula Leisure do an incredible job of supporting the community to be active and healthy.”

Peninsula Leisure will celebrate the wins with the community at a complimentary Year of Health event at PARC on 1 October. Free entry, workouts, giveaways, meet the Facility of the Year team, and loads of activities will be on offer.
