The Minister’s authorisation of our Frankston Metropolitan Activity Centre Structure Plan is a landmark moment in our city’s transformation.

It will give residents, businesses and investors confidence in the future of our city centre and enable Frankston to fulfil its true potential as the capital of the south-east.

Shaped by our community over the last three years, the structure plan can now become the blueprint our city needs to bring more people into our CBD to live, work and visit. More housing, more employment, more choice, more opportunity.

By providing critical clear direction on land use, building design, housing and accommodation, it will ensure future development not only stays true to Frankston's culture and character, but also uplifts under-utilised and unloved spaces, and provides better connection to our prized assets of Kananook Creek and the waterfront.
