You must have approval to hold an event with more than 50 but less than 500 patrons on Council owned or managed land including:
- birthdays
- weddings
- gatherings/misc
- celebrations
- other activities which invite members of the public to attend.
For events with more than 500 patrons, you will need a major events permit.
Note: If your event is for less than 50 people but you plan to have a marquee, bouncy castle, animal farm or similar then approval is required.
Areas where approval is required
You will need to apply for approval if your event will take place on Council owned or managed land within the municipality. This includes, but is not limited to:
- parks and reserves
- foreshore
- city centre or CAA
- car parks
- streets
- nature strips.
