Apply for an occupation of road and Council land for works permit

From the 1st July, the application fee to occupy council land for works has been updated to $376. The new fee consolidates the past fees to help streamline and improve our service. Please be advised that the occupation fee per square meter will still be invoiced after an Engineer's assessment. For further information please contact Engineering Services on 1300 322 322.

You will need a permit if you intend to occupy roads and Council lands for works. This includes:

  • fencing
  • hoarding
  • awning
  • mobile crane or travel tower.

Your application must be submitted a minimum of 10 days prior to your proposed start date of works. Any applications received within 10 days we cannot guarantee approval.

You may also need to apply for a temporary parking bay permit If you are working in the Frankston Central Activities Area (CAA) and need to occupy additional parking bays which are not directly in front of the permit location.
